The contract which has been signed between Tunisian Investor Carthage Cement and EKON‚ PROKON‚ FLSmidth Consortium on 24.February.2010 for the Design, Supply, Construction and Installation of a 5800 tons/day clinker production capacity cement plant at Djebel Ressas, has become effective as of 26.May.2010.

The cement plant where the total contract prices for EKON and PROKON is 174,350,000 Euros, is designed for possible future use of alternative fuels and shall technologically be the most advanced one in Tunisia.

During the realization of the project :

– EKON shall perform the engineering and execution of civil works, structural steel, mechanical, electrical erection, automation and commissioning works of the plant,

– PROKON shall provide some mechanical equipments and shall carry out the engineering and supply of steel structure of the plant,

– FLS shall carry out the equipment and engineering supply of the plant.
