Boğazlıyan Sugar Factory with 10000 tons/day sugar beet handling capacity which has been awarded by Kayseri Sugar Factory Co. to (OYAK – EKON, PROKON Joint Venture) – FIVES CAIL – MAGUIN Consortium, has been completed and Provisional Acceptance Certificate has been obtained on 13 December 2007.
The factory was put into trial operation in 2006-2007 campaign. This year during the first campaign of the factory which has started on 24 September 2007, 600000 tons of sugar beet has been sliced and 81000 tons of sugar, 20000 tons of molasses and 130000 tons of pulp has been produced.
