										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On 26th of March in 2021, Etimaden and Ekon signed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for The Construction of Turbogenerator Systems and Modernization of Energy infrastructure located in Eti Maden&#8217;s existing Boron and Acid Plant at Bandirma, Balikesir.</p>
<p>Within the scope of this turnkey project, Ekon undertakes the entire of Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction-Installation Works, as well as start-up and commissioning of the installed systems. Upon conducting performance tests, Ekon trains to Eti Maden&#8217;s technical staff for successful the operation of the new system.</p>
<p>Operations Directorate of Bandirma Boron and Acid Plant processes Boron mine and transforms into high value-added, high quality and sustainable refined Boron products.</p>
<p>Turkey has 73% of World Boron reserve and Bandırma Boron and Acid Plant is one of the most important Boron Products Manufacturing Plant in Turkey. It supports energy savings and makes additional contribution to economy by means of existing 2 x 5.33MW Turbine Generator Groups which currently partially respond to power demand of the plants.</p>
<p>After the completion of project undertaken by Ekon, 36 MW new steam turbine-generator with its auxilliary units including a cooling system serving new and existing turbogenerator systems simultaneously, the modernization of the existing 2 x 5.33MW turbine &#8211; generator groups and their integration with the new system, 2 Main Distribution Center Buildings (ADM-1 &amp; ADM-2) in where 34.5kV / 15kV / 6.3kV Swichgears , transformers in varied types and sizes and AC-DC Low Voltage Distribution Systems shall be installed; a new DCS which includes Energy Monitoring &amp; Power Management System, Turbine Control Systems, Process and PMS will be made available to increase the energy production capacity of existing plants in order to ensure continuous operation of the facility without any dependence to external power source. Furthermore the energy infrastructure will be modernized.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Electricity Generation Co. (EÜAŞ) has awarded Ekon, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) Plant project for 18 Mart Çan Thermal Power Plant Unit 1 and Unit 2 each with 160 MWe generating capacity located near Çanakkale region of Turkey.</p>
<p>Ekon&#8217;s scope will cover design, manufacturing/supply, construction, installation, testing, training and putting into successful operation, the complete FGD plant on a Turnkey basis as well as supervising commercial operations for 2 (two) years and carrying out maintenance during this period.</p>
<p>All necessary modifications in the existing power plant to integrate with the new FGD plant, and providing all the auxiliary systems including pulverized limestone receiving/storage system, limestone slurry preparation system, gypsum pre-dewatering system and an ash/gypsum slurry mixing system is also under the scope of Ekon.</p>
<p>Ekon will use state-of-the-art wet limestone FGD technology of Doosan Lentjes Gmbh which has 71GW installed wet FGD experience worldwide. Once complete, the plant will be one of the most efficient FGD plants in Turkey with 98.5% efficiency using the latest technology to fully comply with Turkish environmental directives.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ekon had signed the contract for Afşin Elbistan B Power Plant 2nd Unit Fire Damage Restoration Project on 16th January 2015 and effective date of this Contract was 13th February 2015.</p>
<p>The duration of this contract was 600 days of which contractual deadline was 5th October 2016. The project has successfully been completed ahead of the schedule with actual completion date of 23 September 2016 by the start of Trial Operation Period.</p>
<p>Performance tests have successfully been completed on 15-16th December 2016 and Provisional Acceptance Protocol has been mutually signed by EÜAŞ and EKON on 26th January 2017 without any punch list item. Provisional Acceptance Protocol has been approved by EÜAŞ on 4th April 2017.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>EKON Industry Construction and Trade Inc. has been awarded the supply of civil design and manufacturing of structural steel for Nyumba Ya Akiba in the Democratic Republic of Congo by FLSmidth on the 9<sup>th</sup> November 2014.</p>
<p>The Nyumba Ya Akiba cement plant of a capacity of 3.000 TPD of clinker will use local limestone and clay as raw materials and imported coal as fuel and is located about 250 km from Kinshasa (the capital city of D.R. Congo) and 100 km from Matadi Port in the Songololo Territory of Bas Congo Province of Democratic Republic of Congo. Bas-Congo is the only province of the country with a coastline (Atlantic Ocean).</p>
<p>The Nyumba Cement will ease the country&#8217;s dependency on expensive imports, which stand at over 50% of total cement consumption and its output will target a vast area of the country and stimulate infrastructure development while supporting the local private sector, particularly small and medium enterprises, by promoting the reinforcement of the local supply value chain.</p>
<p>Within the content of the project, EKON shall perform design of all structures which are considered a natural part of the equipment, design of cable tunnels, trenches, supports for ducts, stacks, elevators, general documentation such as technical specifications for construction works, material requirements, test procedures, manufacturing and supply of structural steel (including stair tower, handrails, platforms, gratings, checkered plates, bolts, etc..) and anchor bolts and site erection supervision.</p>
<p>In the scope of the project approximately 1480 tons of steel structures will be manufactured and supplied on a FOB basis to Alsancak Port / Izmir.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">The PROKON-EKON Group has moved to a its new headquarters in the district of Kazan, Ankara on the 05<sup>th</sup> May 2014 which gathered all the group of companies under one roof.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The new headquarters has 2 basements, one ground floor and 5 upper floors on a total building area of 16.750 m2. The building has two parking basements of a total capacity of 140 cars, a conference room which can accommodate up to 120 people, a canteen, meeting rooms, offices. It also features a large garden and a 90 m2 fitness salon and activity salon.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Transparency has been chosen as the main concept in the project of the headquarters building, steel elements which form the structure of the building are not covered in order to reflect group&#8217;s main activity focus and are visible from the outside. The building is a green building and one of the few in the city of Ankara to hold a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Certificate. The Construction of the building started in June 2012 and ended in April 2014.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">EKON Industry Construction and Trade Inc. has been awarded the hydro mechanical equipment manufacturing and erection works for the Tepekışla Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant Project in Erbaa Tokat by Ark Energy on the 6th January 2014.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Project is located between Erbaa and Niksar, which is approximately 80 km north of the city of Tokat and approximately 200 km south of the city of Samsun on the Kelkit River. The hydroelectric power plant is composed of two big and one smaller units, with the total capacity of 68.5 MW.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The project will cover the manufacturing, erection, testing and commissioning works of mechanical and hydro mechanical equipment, and also supply and provision of the spare parts and its duration will be 11 months.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">EKON Industry Construction and Trade Inc. shall perform engineering services, design, manufacturing, procurement, assembly, performance tests, shipping of mechanical and hydro mechanical equipment, structural steel spare parts of needed equipment&#8217;s and maintenance service during guarantee period.</p>

<p>For the first time, a Turkish engineering and contracting group undertook a Turnkey construction of a power plant project in Turkey by using state of the art technology. In the scope of project, the total output for two units was increased from 270 MW to 820 MW, firing system was converted to work with both natural gas and diesel fuel (dual fuelled), environmental effects were adapted to European Union criterias, the plant efficiency was increased from 34% to 56%. Our group of companies (Prokon-Ekon) has successfully completed the Ambarlı-2 Natural Gas Combined Power Plant by gaining vast experience together with important reference.</p>
