										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">On January 16, 2024, OYAK Sentetik Karbon Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. and EKON signed a contract for the Piping, Steel, Equipment, Electrical and Instrumentation Works as a part of the Iskenderun Carbon Black Project.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">•</span><span lang="EN-GB">       </span><span lang="EN-GB">OYAK has taken an investment decision to establish a carbon black production facility in İskenderun in cooperation with Taiwan’s International CSRC Investment Holdings Co. Ltd., the controlling company of Continental Carbon, a subsidiary of TCC and the sixth largest carbon black producer in the world. One of OYAK&#8217;s significant initiatives, the manufacturing of carbon black, will set new standards in Turkey and provide all 220 thousand tons of the country&#8217;s annual domestic carbon black demand. By taking this action, OYAK will stop importing $300 million worth of carbon black annually. The investment to establish a carbon black production facility is unique in Turkey.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">•</span><span lang="EN-GB">       </span><span lang="EN-GB">EKON will carry out the supply, manufacturing and erection of Piping, Structural Steel, Equipment, Electrical and Instrumentation Works within the scope of the project.</span></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On December 04, 2020, Ekon Industry Construction and Trade Inc. signed a contract with İskenderun Demir ve Celik A.S. (“ISDEMIR”) for the construction of No:1 Blast Furnace Project, which shall take place in İskenderun-Hatay. All civil works, procurement, steel structure supply and erection, equipment supply and erection, electrical works of Blast Furnace, Slag Granulation Systems, Hot Blast and Gas Cleaning Systems are under the scope of Ekon. Once completed, the New Blast Furnace will be the largest in Turkey with a capacity of 2,8 million ton/year.</p>
<p>İSDEMİR compound, together with its social facilities, is established on a total area of ​​16.75 million m2 and has a production capacity of 5,8 million ton/year liquid steel, 3.5 million ton/year flat steel, 0.6 million ton/year coil steel and 2.5 million ton/year billet steel products. İSDEMİR is one of the largest integrated steel producers in Turkey. With this New Blast Furnace investment, both the capacity and the efficiency of the the existing plant will increase substantially.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On January 16, 2015, Ekon signed a new contract with Electricity Generation Company of Turkey (EÜAŞ) for Disassembly, Assembly and Commissioning Works of the damaged parts of Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant Unit II due to a fire.</p>
<p>Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant, which was established in Kahramanmaraş to meet Turkey&#8217;s increasing energy needs by using 554 million tons of low-calorie coal from the Çöllolar basin, has a total installed capacity of 1440 MW with 4 units of 360 MW each.</p>
<p>Ekon will act as the main contractor under the contract and will perform detailed engineering, steel fabrication and assembly works, civil works, mechanical installation, electrical and automation works for the damaged second unit.</p>
<p>The contract has a value of  57.773.495 EURO and the project duration is 20 months.</p>
